  • Please complete the form below, following the instructions given. Applications close 5pm Monday 16 March 2026. Submitted applications will be assessed by a Jury of distinguished artists, curators and art collectors in April 2026. Applications are reviewed by a jury panel according to the following criteria:


    • Clarity of artistic vision as articulated in the artist statement and work samples
    • Persuasive evidence that the applicant is committed in purpose and practice
    • Clear evidence that the artist works at a professional level in his/her field
    • Clear indications of the significance and critical role that the residency will play in the development of the artist's project
    • Willingness to work in a rural environment and make the most of the opportunities offered by the residency

    Please note the following details before applying:

    To attend the residency you must have access to a car, as there is no public transport available to access the residency. If you arrange a lift to and from the residency, please note that the studio space is a 20 min walk from the house.

    The residency will run from 29 May - 12 June 2026, dates are set and cannot be changed. 

    As part of the residency Hafod would like to organise an open studio on the 12 June, a small exhibition to showcase the work created during the residency. 

    This residency is open to two artists, please state in application form if there is an artist who you would like to attend the residency with, other artists must also apply to be considered for the residency.

    Each artist will leave a donation at the end of their residency as thanks to the National Trust.
