Antigua Teaching Residency 2026
The teaching residency takes place on the Caribbean Island of Antigua over a 4-week period over September and October 2026 (the exact dates are to be confirmed). The residency is open to artists who have graduated from the Royal Drawing School’s Drawing Year and to Faculty of the Royal Drawing School, applicants must have a minimum of two year’s teaching experience.

Applications will be reviewed by a Jury Panel and will be judged according to the following criteria: level of teaching experience, maturity and independence, adaptability, artistic practice and strength of residency proposal.

Applications close 9am Thursday 27 August 2026. Submitted applications will be assessed by a Jury of distinguished artists, curators and art collectors in September 2026.

Please note that shortlisted applicants will be invited for interview by the Residency Jury. Interviews will take place in September 2026, date TBC. If you are unable to attend the interview your application may not be considered.
